Industry

Cornouaille had 21,376 jobs in industry in 1999. The Food Industry predominates over those of semi-finished goods, (paper, cardboard, packaging), capital goods and consumer goods (textiles, clothing). The local production fabric consists of a large number of very small businesses and small and medium-sized businesses. About 50 companies employ more than 100 people.

Agriculture and fishing have led to the creation of a dense and diversified agro-industrial infrastructure including slaughterhouses, meat processing plants, canneries, ready meal production units and packaging factories.
