Overview of the economy of Cornouaille
Tourism
Cornouaille is an extremely popular area with tourists not least
because of its cultural identity, its historical sites, its coastline
which is highly suitable for water sports, and its rich historical
and artistic heritage. It also owes its reputation to the many
festivals and shows which animate towns especially during the
summer, in particular the old sailing ships at Douarnenez, the
Festival de Cornouaille at Quimper, the Fête des Brodeuses
at Pont L'Abbé, the Fête des Filets Bleus at Concarneau.
Cornouaille is the Number One tourist area in Finistère
